When you enter the church, turn right and use the right side aisle to get to the performance area. As with all previous concerts, you will not be able to use the central aisle: it'll be blocked by the keyboard.

Music and folders

Please arrange your music in this order in your own personal folder. You’ll be given a black folder by Anna to transfer it into in your last rehearsal in the week before the concert.

Parking

Please note that the church itself has no parking.

There are a couple of spaces on site but these are STRICTLY reserved for people loading gear into the church.

Everyone else should please park in surrounding streets: particularly in Church Road on the side leading up to the church.

Please car share where possible.

Seating

Please let Anna know if you really need to be able to sit down during the concert. There will not be space on stage for everyone to have a chair but we will arrange this for those who really cannot stand.

Please leave Anna alone on the day!

Just a reminder that Anna is extremely busy on the day and we have very little time to get set up. Anna is thinking about the whole concert and has to play the piano for a considerable time during the concert as well. Whilst concert day is very exciting, it’s also stressful for her too.

Please talk to either Gemma or Emma (we’ll identify them on the day if you don’t already know them) if you have any concerns, rather than talking to Anna.

For anyone who was a bit concerned about Anna's technology problems with the iPad earlier in the week, they've now been fixed and all will be well for the concert. Hurrah!

You were wonderful last time in making new singers feel welcome and reassured as they took part in their 1st concert. Please be aware of those around you and offer help if it’s needed. Space may be at a premium on stage so your patience and flexibility will also be appreciated. There are a significant number of singers who haven’t replied yes or no to concert attendance so let’s hope we all squeeze in!

Let’s build the audience and the choir!

Please encourage people you know to come along. We’re proud of what you do and we hope you are too. So please encourage friends to come along! We’re particularly interested in encouraging new potential choir members to see what we do.

We have renewed the link to the poster. If you have not already downloaded and shared on social media please do so today!  https://we.tl/t-97XZswmuPl

We need help on the day

Roadies wanted: As before, we have very little time to get all the technical gear set up. Do you have a potential roadie in your family? Please let us know. They’ll be needed from 12.15 to 13.30 and/or from 17.00 to 18.00. If there’s someone in your household who can help set up and/or take down the gear, then please

email Gordon: gordon.music@btinternet.com

Front of House crew: we need a dedicated team of two adults who can take money on the door and show latecomers to their seats. Do you know anyone who can do this? Talk to Anna, please.

Refreshments: We’re hoping to have the usual post-concert refreshments. We need someone to take overall responsibility for this. Again, please see Anna.

A note about lights

As before you’ll be given battery lights to put on your music.

Please remember to click the buttons on the stalks TWICE to get the brightest light and please remember to turn the lights OFF when we finish the rehearsal. We want to preserve the batteries for the performance

Unlike Christmas however, there will NOT be a bright light shining at you from the back of the church. We did this as an emergency measure when something went wrong and we won’t need to do it this time.

Please take care around the lights closest to the choir: and do not look directly into them!

Toilets

We have booked two extra loos! They will be outside the church. Unless you have a dire urgent need, please use these, rather than the toilet in the church as the flush doesn't work very well. Please only put toilet paper down the portaloo toilets. Else they'll get blocked and stop working!

And yes there will be paper in the toilets. You do not need to bring your own!

Big excitement: the toilets have arrived!
